jKiwi was created by the community supporting free software. It is a digital program for styling that enables the users to check what they would look like with a given hairstyle or make-up.
This is a relatively small application but it definitely meets all the requirements set for such programs. The majority of programs offering cosmetic simulations are cumbersome for most users and not enjoyable ay all. jKiwi is based on the assumption that cosmetics is something pleasant, not an ordeal, and the program provides its users with great fun.
The application functions on the basis of the photo uploaded by the user. There are plenty of tools at the user’s disposal, similar to those offered by Photoshop. The user may freely test various hairstyles, lipsticks, eye shadows, contact lenses, foundations and many, many other items.
Its interface is comfortable and user-friendly. Every single window is accompanied by a short explanation of how to use it. An additional advantage is the fact that the program is portable: it is contained in a single .zip file, and as soon as the archive is unpacked, the program is ready to use. However, it requires the Java environment to work.
