Firefox is one of the most recognized browsers in the world. In Poland it is estimated that 50% of Internet users choose this particular browser. Its development was initiated in 2002.
The latest Mozilla browser is equipped with a new Gecko 2.0 engine which conforms to the W3C standards.
The browser is reliable and fast. The creators of Mozilla concluded that in order to enable the users to quickly browse the websites, they have to minimize the number of functions in the browser and focus only on the most important ones. This enhances quality, speed and security offered by the browser. Of course, there is always a possibility of installing additional functions by means of extra plug-ins.
The application is equipped with an option of checking spelling as well as with a simple download manager, particularly useful when the Internet connection is suddenly broken, as it can resume the file download. The interface itself is very simple and intuitive and boasts esthetic looks. Aero elements have been used to enhance its esthetics. All additional options can be found under a large button located in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
When a given plug-in is faulty (for instance Flash), the browser itself still works properly. This allows us to effectively isolate errors caused by some websites without losing important data.
The enthusiasts of good and reliable software definitely appreciate the wide opportunities of extending Firefox. Free applications (extensions) strengthen the position of the browser and provide it with an ever-increasing number of users.
