RootkitRevealer 1.71

RootkitRevealer is used for detecting the potentially dangerous software of a rootkit type (as its name suggests). Of course, detection is not all and the application has been equipped with the function of eliminating rootkits.

The program detects some changed registry entries or suspicious Windows files. Malware may operate in the user working mode or in the system’s core. The program informs us about it by displaying a list of suspicious entities. We can eliminate the bug but we have to be careful as such applications sometimes make mistakes when detecting suspicious entries, which may have very serious consequences. Therefore, caution is definitely recommended.

On visting www.rootkit.com we will find the entire list of rootkits that the application can deal with.
The program does not pose any problems even for beginners. However, certain IT knowledge is recommended so as not to accidentally delete a good file or entry.

It’s worth emphasizing that RootkitRevealer was created by Mark Russinovich who contributed to the detection of an extremely dangerous rootkit (in the DRM system by Sony).
