Process Hacker 2.22

Everyone who has ever used a computer with Windows XP or some newer version is definitely familiar with task manager, displayed right next to the opened programs, as well as with the list of processes in progress on the computer disk. And everyone surely remembers that, although being quite a useful tool, it is still considerably limited by Microsoft programmers. Therefore, we need a program which manages processes independently. One of them is Process Hacker.

This program is like a sports car, say, Lamborghini, compared to some lower-class van which is Window default task manager. It offers a wide variety of options: viewing the process trees, exact statistics of every single process as well as how much of the processor and memory it uses, discontinuing, resuming and deleting processes individually or collectively while omitting the process protection (which is a real menace), accessing an extended help system, setting priorities for individual processes, etc. And these are only some of its functions. Process Hacker also enables us to view, clean and modify the virtual memory by means of its hex editor. Some other options it offers are: managing user privileges, loaded modules, process variables and services; viewing the currently connected network with the options of  whois, traceroute and ping.

Of course, during installation, the user may choose the program’s elements to be installed and even have the default task manager replaced with Process Hacker. Coupled with its comfortable interface, this program is almost an obligatory one. However, it is addressed to some more advanced users as playing with processes may have very unpleasant side effects.
