Apart from efficiency, computer’s security is one of the most important issues. However, in time, both these functions slowly deteriorate unless the user regularly cleans the disk and removes potentially dangerous files. However, even if we take care of these things and clean the disk if need be, we shouldn’t do it ourselves (contrary to what the DIY enthusiasts say). Instead, we should use special programs such as BleachBit.
Based on the open source technology, this program offers wide opportunities of cleaning the computer and removing potentially dangerous files. Similarly as its competitor, CCleaner, it is totally free and devoid of irrelevant and unnecessary extras (frequently added to paid version of similar programs). However, as regards removing the harmful files and ensuring the computer’s security, it surpasses its rival. Thanks to specially designed cleaners, the program identifies and precisely deletes redundant files from more than 550 programs, and, thanks to the cleaner creator (CleanerML), everyone can write a new one using the .xml architecture.
In order to ensure the user’s security, BleachBit can permanently destroy both individual files and entire folders without any possibility of recovering data (which is particularly useful when selling office computers).
Its interface is simple and transparent and available in more than fifty languages, including Polish. BleachBit can also be opened as a portable application, without installation.
