AxCrypt - File Encryption for Windows 1.7.2687

Security is a very important issue for any computer user. Everyone, whether an amateur or professional needs to feel secure when using computer, especially when they have contact with sensitive or potentially dangerous data. In order to increase the level of security, it’s good to install a program which is able to encrypt files on the hard disk. One of the best such programs is AxCrypt.

This is a small but powerful application which can quickly encrypt files, from single documents to whole folders and disks. This process is fast and uses 128- bit AES encryption. Encrypted files are secure and impossible to be opened by unauthorized persons. They are also safe from any brute-force attacks which consist in systematically checking all possible keys until the correct key is found. We also have the possibility to delete files form the disk so that third parties cannot recover them.

The program is installed quickly and is operated by means of commands added to the Windows context menu. This facilitates the encryption process as well as the use of the program. It is equipped with 12 language versions, including Polish. Being an open source application, it is frequently updated and its creator, Axantum, also provides a range of extras, including a service called Xecrets, which allows us to store passwords in the safe cloud on the team’s servers.
