A small program called Applications Priority Master is an application intended for the latest Windows operating systems (2000, XP and Vista) and used for opening programs having a certain pre-defined priority.
Why is it useful? Well, we no longer have to use the Windows Task Manger to change the Running Processes priority as it is inconvenient. Priority Master gives us the opportunity to create programs’ shortcuts specifying the priority we want them to start with. This small application is particularly useful when we use programs which put a strain on the processor and we want to assign a priority to one of them and give it more computing power. The default task manager warns us against such changes. However, this opportunity is very useful, especially when we open a given program in order to perform some power-consuming operation such as rendering a 3D film, compiling a program, converting files or exporting data. In such situations, Applications Priority Master is invaluable.
Its interface is very intuitive and easy to use. It enables us to quickly create a list of programs with certain priorities. Be careful when installing the program with Vista operating system: the installation has to be run in the Windows XP compatibility mode (Service Pack 2).
