Google Translate is a powerful tool. This automated translator currently involves several dozen languages and although it cannot ensure a 100% accurate translation, it considerably facilitates comprehension of foreign texts, thus constituting an indispensable tool. ShaPlus Google Translator is a program intended for automating the translation process by means of a simple program integrated with Windows.
Thanks to this program we can mark a text to be translated and then open the translation in a separate window by means of a keyboard shortcut (configured during or after installation). The program downloads the translation from the Google service, so the Internet connection is necessary for the application to function. However, despite this small inconvenience, it is an excellent tool which greatly facilitates using the computer and foreign services. It automatically recognizes the language of the source text and displays its translation in a separate window. Also, the program can be integrated with Internet Explorer, as an extension to context menu.
Its interface is simple and easy to use. However, it could be more transparent as regards the change of the keyboard shortcut, which is done by editing the shortcut properties in Start menu. But despite this minor inconvenience there are absolutely no problems using the program. A tip for Polish users: don’t set the shortcut using Alt and a Polish letter being a base of some typically Polish sounds (s, c, a, e, o, n, z or x), otherwise the program will open every time you write Polish diacritic mark.
