DeadLine is a mathematic program addressed to students and engineers and enabling them to create and analyze equations. The program is small but powerful and is totally free.
It is a freeware program that combines the options of drawing graphs of functions with an in-depth mathematic analysis. Its interface is very intuitive. Deadline recognizes and supports most equations, including algebraic, trigonometric, logarithmic, quadratic equations and functions. Because the program’s core is based on a powerful and efficient engine, it displays functions quickly and precisely together with such information as the zero point or the highest and lowest points on the graphs. The program also offers tools for an in-depth analysis of functions and equations and for exporting the results to files. This means that any graph can be exported to a graphic file: the program supports BMP, PNG, GIF and TIFF formats. Another useful tool is Deadline calculator, a command line-based program for calculating equations and creating new ones. These are, of course, not all the functions the program offers.
Its interface is well-designed although slightly intimidating at the very beginning, especially for those who have problems with maths. However, after some time we are bound to appreciate its versatility. It constitutes an excellent teaching aid.
