All can agree that one of the most important elements of working with Windows is a quick access to programs. However, although the Start menu is useful, it is very static and inconvenient to use, especially when it does not open immediately. DeskTool is a freeware application designed by MetaProducts Corporation that provides the user with a quick access to any program form the desktop level.

DeskTool is, in fact, a small window opened on the desktop, by means of which the user can Access the Windows Explorer, command line, registry editor, control panel and task manager. It’s up to the user how he/she will further develop its functions: DeskTool allows us to add programs to the application list (based on a scrolling menu) which can be then (by just two clicks) opened without any problem at all. DeskTool has got a drag-and-drop interface allowing us to drop those programs we want to open and automatically add them to the list. We have to admit that the window looks is slightly too complex but it definitely plays its role well and considerably facilitates access to programs.

The interface, as was mentioned before, is simple and user-friendly. It does not require installing any other elements. The program provides a great assistance to any user who wants to quickly access the most important programs and applications.
