Fallout Mod Manager, often called FOMM, is an indispensable tool for any fan of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. It is a universal manager used for managing modifications to the games mentioned.
This is, of course, one of the program’s basic functions. However, it allows the user not only to turn the modifications on and off, but also to decide on their order so that the game can load them easily and avoid errors. FOMM also enables the users to open the old and create new .bsa archives (in order to organize files used by the modifications), create FOMOD installators (because the Gamebryo engine is quite “fussy” when it comes to accepting modes), edit the .esp and .esm files by means of a tool called TESnip, as well as export and import modification lists and their loading order to files. Some additional functions include preview of the saved game states while displaying the list of active modifications in a given file as well as a tool for changing graphic settings and detecting conflicts between modifications.
The tool created by Timeslip is definitely the best application for managing Fallout games modifications. Unlike the official managers, it allows the user to adjust the game to their own preferences and constitutes a universal tool for both Fallout 3 and New Vegas. It also enables us to unpack the game archives for editing.
