Created by Fonlow IT, Open Contacts is an advanced and versatile contact manager with an additional option of synchronizing the content of the program database with external applications.

This is a freeware program and an excellent tool for both private individuals and companies. It has been especially intended for those who need something more than just an address book. Thanks to SyncMLn library, the program content may be synchronized with smartphone memory, PDA and network address book. What is so extraordinary about this program? First of all, there is an unlimited number of fields: apart from the standard ones intended for name and surname, address or telephone number, the user can also add their own fields. The user can also manage the relations between individual contacts and mark them as business contacts, private contacts, etc. Apart from that, we may cerate specific categories through which the contacts are sorted. Last but not least, there is an efficient function of searching the database. 

The program is equipped with a comfortable and efficient interface which can also co-operate with Windows programs related to communication, electronic mail and Internet browsing, integration with Google Maps, Yahoo Maps and Microsoft Live Maps (by means of specific plug-ins). Some of the most obvious functions is printing the contacts and the related data, importing contacts from MS Outlook, Outlook Express (WAB), Eudora, Netscape/Mozilla Thunderbird, xCard, CSV, LDIF, Windows Contacts and vCard format. Three is also a function of exporting data to CSV, Excel, vCard and XML (xCard) formats, HTML, hCard and XFN (XHTML Friends Network). Finally, this is a portable program and can be started form the USB memory. In short, it is excellent.
